ATTENTION: On July 1, 2011, the Undergraduate Advising & Support Center (UASC) and the Career Center merged under the name Advising and Career Services. This merger will allow the combined departments to provide more extensive advising and career development services. The new department will be responsible for the advising needs of students exploring or changing majors and the career development needs of all students. This partnership will also assist in the expansion of advising/career professional development opportunities for campus-wide advisers and academic departments.
Advising services continue to be located in the UASC in 425 Smith Memorial Student Union and career services in the Career Center in 402 University Services Building until a shared location is found.

Advising in the UASC
UASC provides advising for students who are exploring, choosing or changing a major; assistance for students encountering academic difficulties; co-admitted students; referrals to schools/colleges and academic departments for students with identified majors; and support and training for advisers across campus.
- Drop-in advising is available for current students. Please see drop-in hours on the calendar above.
- Appointments are best for students with in-depth questions such as choosing a major or submitting a petition, students returning after an absence, or prospective transfer students.
For more information and/or to schedule an appointment, please call 503-725-4005. If students have a quick question for an adviser, they may also email askuasc@pdx.edu.
