TriMet Student Viking Pass

The TriMet Student Viking Pass is a partially subsidized transit pass available to all students enrolled for three or more credits per term. Student Viking Passes can be used on TriMet & C-TRAN LOCAL systems throughout the region.

The Spring term Student Viking Pass will be valid from 03/20/24-06/30/24. Thanks to the support of TriMet, we can offer the Student Viking Pass for just $100 for the term, a 66% savings compared to the public rate. Passes must be purchased in full from PSU.

Eligibility:

Must be a current PSU student, registered for three or more credits (1 credit for summer quarter) for the corresponding academic term
Must have a valid photo ID
Must agree to the terms and conditions of the Viking Pass program. Unfortunately, the Viking Pass cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded.
Purchasing options: cash, Visa/Mastercard/Discover, or billing to your student account
If your Hop card is lost, there is a $3 replacement charge

NOTE: If you're receiving financial aid, you don't need to wait for your aid to arrive to bill your Viking Pass to your student account.

Obtaining Your Pass

The Spring term Student Viking Pass is available for purchase until 4/26, and can only be purchased in person at the Transportation office.

TriMet Reduced Fare Program

Get access to 50% off TriMet single-use tickets and day passes, and 72% off monthly passes by joining the TriMet Reduced Fare Program.

UPDATE: Federal Pell Grant recipients are now automatically eligible for the TriMet Reduced Fare Program. Individuals with an annual income at or below $29,160 can qualify. Similarly, a family of four with an income of less than $55,500 will also be eligible. Alternatively, you automatically qualify if you're eligible for Federal Pell Grants, or a member of Oregon Health Plan / Medicaid, SNAP program, TANF, HUD, WIC, LIHEAP, Free & Reduced Price Lunch, or Employment Related Daycare.

Portland Streetcar is Free to Students!
