Praxis Testing at PSU
SHAC Testing Services is no longer a testing site for the Praxis. The information below is for your reference.
Praxis: Teacher Licensure and Certification Tests
The Praxis Series: Professional Assessments for Beginning Teachers is a set of rigorous and carefully validated assessments that yields accurate, reliable information that state education agencies use in deciding licensing issues. Additionally, colleges and universities may use the basic academic skills assessments to qualify individuals for entry into teacher education programs.
- Praxis I: Pre-Professional Skills Test measures basic skills in reading, writing and mathematics.
- Praxis II: Subject Tests measure knowlege of specific K-12 subjects as well as general and subject-specific teaching skills and knowledge.
