PSU ReUses! is a new PSU Recycles! program that will collect and redistribute good condition office supplies that would otherwise be thrown out. Several universities around the country have similar programs and have experienced tremendous success.

A few examples of reusable materials are:

  • Binders
  • File Folders
  • Pens/Pencils
  • Desktop File Organizers
  • Staplers/staples
  • Paper clips
  • Paper

Diversion is an essential component of managing waste. Here's why:

  • As we consume fewer new materials, we minimize our impact on the Earth's limited natural resources.
  • Finding a second use for materials reduces the trash volume. Ultimately, this saves money through lower trash-hauling fees.
  • Student groups, faculty, and staff save money by reusing supplies rather than buying them new.

If you need supplies, PSU ReUses! is now open during normal business hours. We are located in Science Building 2 - Room 144.

If you have reusable supplies to donate, please call PSU Recycles! at 725-4300 or send an e-mail to recycles@pdx.edu for a pickup. Staff will pick-up, organize, and store the materials in Science Building 2.
