COPENMIND
September 1-3, 2008
Copenhagen, Demark

This past September, PSU sent a delegation to COPENMIND, an international exhibition of university-industry connections and research, this year focusing on Clean Technology Research .  At Copenmind, Jennifer Allen, Interim Director of the Center for Sustainable Processes & Practices, along with Dana Bostrom and Jeremy Dalton from the office of Innovation & Industry Alliances, showcased PSU research projects in areas of sustainability.

From the work of David Sailor and Graig Spolek on green roofs, to Gerry Shebl's wind-power projects, to the study of invasive species by Mark Sytsma and Alan Yeakley,  PSU was a welcome participant, sharing the exhibit floor with Stanford University, the University of Washington, Columbia University, and dozens of other universities from around the globe.  Over and over again, Portland was recognized as a leader in "green," and PSU's research was appreciated as a contributor to our residents' -- locally & globally -- lifestyle.  PSU had a running presentation, designed by Jeremy Dalton & Beth Lloyd, but with contributions from PSU faculty, which can be seen here.
