Welcome Week

Welcome Week is a volunteer program developed to assist students and visitors by providing information and directions.  Volunteers are needed for one hour time slots between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday, January 3, 2011, Tuesday, January 4, 2011, and Wednesday, January 5, 2011 to staff information tables.  In total, there are more than 150 time slots that need to be filled for these days.  For 2011 Winter term, Welcome Week tables will be set up in Neuberger Hall Lobby, between Smith and Cramer, between Smith and Neuberger, and in the Urban Plaza.

The success of Welcome Week depends entirely on PortlandState faculty, staff, and student volunteers. Volunteers will be provided with reference materials and a list of frequently asked questions so they do not need to know everything about PSU. Volunteers in the past have reported that they not only had fun participating in Welcome Week, but also learned a great deal about Portland State University.
