Mike Burton appointed to legislative task force
Mike Burton, Extended Studies vice provost, has been selected co-chair of the Oregon Legislative Task Force on Veterans Reintegration. The task force has been charged with making recommendations to the governor and legislature regarding implementation of the new federal GI Bill, employment, family issues, suicide rates, housing, and health care issues among veterans. Burton is a Vietnam-era veteran, retired USAF officer, and a former member of the Oregon Legislature.
