The M.S.W. Distance Option program is offering admission to the Ashland and Salem distance sites for fall 2012. Students may enroll in the M.S.W. Program starting Fall term only, and we admit students only once each year. We do not offer deferment of admission, but retain applications for one year, for use in reapplication. The application deadline is February 1, 2012.
Application to the M.S.W. Program is a two step process, in which applicants will need to complete:
- Applicants will need to complete the School of Social Work M.S.W. Distance Option application, and
- the Portland State University graduate application.
Step 1: Apply to the School of Social Work
The School of Social Work prefers that applicants use the online application, but hand-written applications are also acceptable. Please thoroughly read the application instructions.
- Online Application: The online application allows you to save a partially completed application form and complete it later. Please note: This does not officially submit your application to the School; rather your application must be sent by postal mail with your signature and application materials.
- Downloadable PDF Application: Once downloaded and printed, the completed application will need to be submitted via postal mail.
- Additional PDF Application Materials (also available through Online Application link above):
Step 2: Apply to Portland State University
In addition to the application to the School of Social Work, you must apply separately to Portland State University's Office of Admission as a graduate applicant. Visit the PSU Office of Admissions website for instructions and to fill out the graduate application.
