Typical Program & Courses
The master's degree program in Speech & Hearing Sciences takes two years as a full-time student, including the intermediate summer. The SPHR Department was approved to expand our graduate program in speech-language pathology beginning in Fall 2011. As of Fall 2011, we will admit 50 master's students in two cohorts of 25 students each. The
CurriculumMaps.pdf show the new, adjusted curriculum for three groups of graduate students:
- Current SPHR Master's Students (class of 2012)
- Incoming SPHR Master's Students (class of 2013; both cohorts to begin in Fall 2011
- Prospective SPHR Master's Students (class of 2014 and beyond; cohorts will stagger entrance in either summer or fall terms).
*Please note that the attached curriculum "maps" are tentative and subject to change. We have submitted these for approval to the Office of Graduate Studies and the PSU Faculty Senate in Fall 2011, and expect official curriculum changes to take effect for the 2012-2013 academic year.
