Professional Background & Interests:

Lisa has worked at Legacy Emanuel Hospital, primarily in acute care, since 2004. She completed her Clinical Fellowship at the Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ. She works with patients who have a variety of diagnoses, including burn injuries, traumatic brain injury, stroke, and head and neck cancers. She is also a member of the clinical ethics committee for the hospital. Special interests include voice and swallowing following burn and inhalation injuries, tracheostomies with and without ventilator support, functional outcomes of oral cancer reconstruction, and quality of life outcomes. Lisa absolutely loves being a speech-language pathologist, is grateful for the amazing people she works with, and plans to continue the never-ending search for further information to help better assess and treat her clients.
