Professional Background & Interests:
James Andrews is Professor Emeritus at Northern Illinois University. His teaching and research interests include family participation in clinical services, counseling, and anatomy & physiology of speech production. He co-authored a book (Family-Based Treatment in Communicative Disorders: A Systemic Approach) with Mary Andrews, wrote several articles and book chapters on the approach, and co-presented, with Mary Andrews, approximately 150 workshops on counseling and contextual clinical treatment throughout the U.S. and Canada. He is a Certified Life Member and Fellow of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
