Professional Background & Interests:
Jana joined Portland State University's Adjunct Faculty in 2008, in addition to her full-time position as Speech-Language Pathologist and Instructor at the OHSU NW Clinic for Voice and Swallowing. Her clinical interests include evaluation and treatment of organic, neurological, and functional voice disorders in adults and children, vocal cord dysfunction, voice and swallowing disorders secondary to head and neck cancer, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). She is experienced in the evaluation and treatment of adult speech, language, and swallowing disorders and has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Jana has participated in research in the areas of perceptual voice evaluation, dysphagia, and AAC.
