Professional Background & Interests:
Don Freed is chair of the Department of Communicative Disorders and Deaf Studies at CSU Fresno. Prior to his move to Fresno, he worked as a speech pathologist in acute care and rehabilitation facilities in Portland, Oregon. He also worked as a research speech pathologist for 3 years at the Portland VA Medical Center. His research mostly has concentrated on word-finding problems associated with aphasia. He has published articles in Aphasiology, Clinical Aphasiology, American Journal of Speech and language Pathology, Journal of Speech and Hearing Research, and Perceptual and Motor Skills.
