Bilingual Clinic Opportunities

The PSU department of Speech and Hearing Sciences offers clinical and research opportunities for graduate students who have an interest in developing the competencies needed to serve bilingual individuals with communication disorders. Clinic opportunities with Spanish-English individuals are available for graduate students who are bilingual in both languages or are interested in becoming so and currently have basic Spanish skills. Our bilingual clinic opportunities include assessment and intervention with bilingual individuals in the SPHR clinic and clinical practica in the public schools, Headstart programs, and/or Early Childhood Special Education programs in the Portland metropolitan area. These bilingual placements are with consultation and supervision of bilingual faculty in the SPHR department.
