Professional Background & Interests:
Amber has been practicing since 2002. She has a strong foundation in evaluating and treating a variety of pediatric communication disorders. Amber established an expertise in the field of AAC while working at The Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel. There she served on the AAC team and provided evaluations and treatment in acute care, inpatient rehab, and outpatient units. In 2009, Amber transitioned to The Children’s Center at Legacy Salmon Creek and developed the AAC program in that outpatient clinic. She currently dedicates the majority of her caseload to serving pediatrics with complex communication needs and mentors therapists in AAC. Amber resides in Vancouver, Washington with her husband and son.
