Adjunct Faculty Handbook

The SPHR Adjunct Faculty Committee was formed in 2010-2011. Our goal was to propose new guidelines to support, recruit, and retain Adjunct Faculty. Attached are procedures that were approved by the entire SPHR Faculty, and take effect beginning in Fall 2011.

Adjunct Faculty who are currently teaching are directed to the following for support:

• Questions about Course Content - contact Faculty Sponsor
• Questions about Teaching, Evaluation, Classroom Management - contact Rik Lemoncello, Committee Chair or the PSU Center for Academic Excellence
• Questions about student issues or departmental isses - contact Shelly Chabon, Department Chair
• Questions about contract, salary, or employment status - contact Shelly Chabon, Department Chair

The Adjunct Faculty Committee's goal for 2011-2012 is to develop a detailed handbook to support our Adjunct Faculty. We look forward to your participation and feedback. Thank you for all that you offer our Department!
