Frank Fromherz: Bio
Areas of passion: Love to teach using a Socratic style to engage students and a small group/large group community of learning approach to foster creative and diverse ways of knowing; enjoy writing (sample of essays and book chapters, available on request), and devoting some time these days to a manuscript project on nonviolence and a revolution of the spirit (fascinated by Aung San Suu Kyi of Burma); able to inspire people, and bring leadership skills to help organize for justice (with a blend of contemplation, social analysis, and strategic action). I live on Yamhill area land with my beloved Bridget (who runs a nonprofit, Adelante Mujeres, based in Forest Grove). On our farm we are working on a native habitat restoration project with U.S. Fish and Wildlife. I am the blessed father of Chris and Nick, both of whom have married Bolivians. We have three Bolivian-American grandchildren.
