What does “OPT-IN” mean versus “OPT-OUT”?

OPT-IN:

  • If you choose to “OPT-IN”, you will receive emergency notification messages from Portland State University.
  • In order to “OPT-IN”, you must log onto https://banweb.pdx.edu/ using your PSU account and follow the prompts which will allow you to register during the first weeks of the each term.
  • In order to update/alter your contact information, you must log-in into the PSU Information System https://banweb.pdx.edu/pls/oprd/twbkwbis.P_WWWLogin and select Personal Information from the menu. Then select PSU Alert from the menu and fill in the appropriate fields.

OPT-OUT:

  • You will not receive emergency messages from Portland State University.
