SBA Scholarships

The 2012 Scholarship application opens!
The PSU School of Business Administration awards over $100,000 in scholarships every year to undergraduate, post-baccalaureate and graduate students across all disciplines. Starting with the online application opening in late September, and culminating in the Scholarships & Awards Night banquet in May, the process spans eight months and involves students, faculty, donors and administrators.
The key to getting a scholarship: early preparation. The application is due the February before the fall term when scholarships are awarded. With the application open and accesible for five months it’s never too early to start!
How to Apply
The online scholarship application for the 2012-13 academic year is now available.

All SBA scholarships are administered through PSU's online application process. Unless otherwise noted or you are notified within a specific program, all SBA scholarships must be applied for online.
If you have studied the information and have questions that you feel are not addressed in the application process, you may contact our scholarship coordinator at scholarships@sba.pdx.edu.
Applicants fill out one application, which will determine from all possible SBA scholarships which ones are applicable to you. It is not possible to apply for specific scholarships individually. During the review process following the February deadline, a committee of faculty members will review all applications for each scholarship and determine the winner among the top candidates.
Who Can Apply
The School of Business Administration invites all undergraduate and graduate students who are admitted or will be admitted to the SBA by Fall term 2010 to apply for scholarships for the 2011-2012 academic year.
| NOTE: Do not submit an application if you will not be enrolled in the School of Business during the academic year starting in Fall 2012. Submitting an application without being enrolled for the academic year starting Fall 2012 could lead to withdrawal of the award. |
International students may apply for any scholarships that do not require US citizenship.
Starting Your Application
- Visit the scholarship website. This will connect you to Scholar X.
- Log in and register as a first-time user. Begin filling out either the PSU Undergraduate Application or the PSU Graduate Scholarship Application. Note that certain scholarships for certain majors may have specific essay questions. You must fill out those specific essay questions to be considered for those scholarships.
- Saving and returning. It is important that you fill out the relevant sections of the application to be eligible for any scholarships offered through the University, as well as any scholarships offered through the School of Business. It may seem a lengthy process, but you can stop and come back later to finish your application without losing any of your work at any time. However, once you hit the submit button, your application has been sent and cannot be revised.
When You Will Be Notified of Award
Please note that new scholarships may be added and scholarships are subject to change. Most SBA scholarships are awarded in April/May following the February deadline, although a few scholarships are offered on a different timetable. Check back periodically for updates.
