Management

The Management option provides the requisite knowledge and skills which enable the student to meet the challenges of managerial responsibilities.

General Management Option Requirements

[2006-2007 bulletin year*]

A minimum of 24 credits as follows:

  • MGMT 351 - Human Resource Management (4)
  • MGMT 445 - Organization Design and Change (4)
  • MGMT 448 - Team Processes (4)
  • MGMT 464 - Contemporary Leadership Issues (4)
  • Electives1 - Eight credits total, four from upper-division management courses and four from upper-division management courses or the following:
    • ISQA 459
    • MKTG 376
    • MKTG 430
    • MKTG 464
    • PSY 342
    • PSY 360
    • PSY 436
    • PSY 440
    • PSY 447
    • PSY 448
    • PSY 478
    • SOC 424
    • SOC 457

1Electives chosen from non-business disciplines do not count toward the minimum business credits required for an undergraduate business degree.

NOTE: Students who wish to complete a double option in General Management and Human Resource Management cannot apply more than eight common credits to each program.
