Fall 2011 New Admission and Upper Division Course Requirements

Please note the following undergraduate admission requirements are effective Fall Term 2010.

ADMISSION TO THE SBA: Starting Fall 2011 and ongoing all students must have a 3.0 GPA to be admitted to the School of Business. This includes transfer, PSU and PSU business coursework. Please review the required pre-business courses and GPA requirements, including GPA exception rule, on the SBA Pre-Business Requirements page.

ADMISSION TO UPPER DIVISION (300 and 400 level) COURSES: All students must be admitted to the School of Business in order to enroll in upper division (300 and 400 level) courses.

UPPER DIVISION COURSE WAIT-LISTS  (300-level and 400-level SBA classes, other than classes for the Business Minor): Instructors are asked to sign 'Add' forms for students only when they are on an official computer-generated wait-list for a class. Students who are NOT on the computer generated wait-list and are requesting admission to a class must be vetted by the Undergraduate Programs Office staff. Professors will take down the student's name and PSU SID# and will check that the student is eligible for the class (admitted to the SBA, has all necessary pre-requisites). If the student is eligible for the course, the instructor may choose to allow the student to take the course.
