Cherie has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (1979) and a Master of Business Administration from Bowling Green State University (1995). She is a Certified Public Accountant (Ohio). Cherie’s professional experience includes four years of auditing with KPMG Peat Marwick, two years of internal auditing with Owens-Corning Fiberglas Corporation and six years as controller of Potter Inc. Prior to joining Portland State University, Cherie was an assistant professor of accounting at Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa for five years. Her primary interests in teaching are financial accounting and corporate finance.
