Portland State's Innovation and Intellectual Property unit is responsible for protecting and managing patentable and copyrighted works developed in the course of PSU research activities. We work with faculty members, students and staff to promote the use and increase the impact of PSU innovations.

The Portland State Business Accelerator (PSBA) supports and serves tech, bioscience, and green companies from their early stage through growth by providing facilities, programming, and mentors while activating and engaging relationships with each other, PSU, and the entrepreneur ecosystem.

University Venture Development Fund

The University Venture Development Fund provides Oregon universities the opportunity to accept gifts from individuals and organizations that wish to support research and commercialization activities at the universities. Donors receive a significant State of Oregon tax credit. The university technology transfer offices use the funds to facilitate the commercialization of university research and development.
