26th Annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day™

Portland State University will hold a week of events in honor of the 26th annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day (NGWSD). The theme this year is “Title IX at 40: In it for the Long Run.” The week of events at Portland State University are a part of more than 1,000 events taking place across the country for National Girls and Women in Sports Day. It recognizes the progress of girls and women in sports and the benefits that sports and fitness activities can bring to the lives of all girls and women.

FEMINIST KICKBALL TOURNAMENT

Come join us on Stott Field for a non-competitive Feminist Kickball Tournament. All are welcome and no experience necessary!

NATIONAL GIRLS AND WOMEN IN
SPORTS DAY (NGWSD) SPEAKER PANEL
4:30 - 6:45 pm - ASRC Courts

Come celebrate the 40th anniversary of title IX with accomplished women athletes, including 2006 Women’s Ice Hockey Olympic bronze medal winner, Kelly Tysland, PSU’s Women’s Basketball head coach Sherri Murrell, PSU's Women's Soccer athlete Melissa Trammell, superstar high school student athlete and mountaineer, Shannon Ostler, and Founder & CEO of Aries Apparel, Diana Marsden. Enjoy food, FREE tickets to the PSU Women’s Basketball Game that evening vs Weber State at 7pm in the Peter Stott Center and a FREE athletic headband to the first 200 attendees. This event is FREE to attend and registration is not required.
