Pasting from Word & Formatting

When you create a new file in D2L, you might want to cut and paste content from a Word document. However, pasting text or other elements from Word directly into the HTML editor in D2L creates ill-formatted, messy content.  Fortunately, D3L has a "Paste from Word" tool inside the HTML editor that removes the mess and retains your Word content.

Step 1: While editing your content, change the HTML Editor to Advanced view, instead of Basic.

Step 2: Click the "Paste from Word" button.

Step 3: A window will open. Having copied your content from a Word document, paste it into this window. Then click Insert.

Step 4: You content will appear in the HTML Editor, minus the messy code. Make sure to Save your changes.
