Meet Professor Carolyn McKnight

Carolyn McKnight directs the Master of Business Administration (MBA) Programs for Portland State University and is overseeing the execution of the new MBA+ curriculum and programming. An acknowledged figure in the area of corporate leadership and organizational development for over 25 years, she is responsible for executing the "360-degree assessments" and individual coaching that full-time MBA+ candidates receive as an integral part of their graduate business degree experience at Portland State. Carolyn also teaches a new class in Leadership and Development and leads the Office of Graduate Business Programs. Declaring that a mastery of “managerial intelligence” is as important as traditional business school skills, if not more so in today’s marketplace, Carolyn is leading the nation’s first program to integrate leadership development and management of innovation into the MBA experience. McKnight holds degrees from Tennessee Temple University and Pacific Graduate Institute.
