Yi-Lin (she/her) is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) currently serving as the Initial Access and Crisis Care Therapist at SHAC. Born and raised in Taiwan, Mandarin and Taiwanese are her first languages. Upon relocating to the US, Yi-Lin pursued a master's degree in Couple and Family Therapy at Drexel University in her mid 20s. She then dedicated herself to empowering immigrant and refugee families in South Philadelphia at Intercultural Family Service, Inc., providing culturally sensitive therapy and support. There, she honed her skills in trauma-informed care and community outreach. Before joining SHAC in spring 2024, Yi-Lin served as a Mental Health Therapist at Corvallis School District, where she provided support to high school students and families, helping address their mental health needs and fostering their success in education.

Yi-Lin has a particular interest in working with students in crisis, supporting them through transitions, and aiding international students, as well as AAPI and BIPOC communities. Her approach to therapy is person-centered, cross-cultural, and strengths-based. She strives to create an environment where clients feel safe and understood, firmly believing in the transformative potential of human connection.

Outside of work, Yi-Lin enjoys hiking, savoring good food (especially at authentic Asian restaurants), and indulging in Taiwanese boba-pudding milk tea.
