Shelly Chabon, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, Vice Provost for Academic Personnel and Dean of Interdisciplinary General Education, has worked in a university setting for over 35 years and formerly served at PSU as CLAS Associate Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences and as chair of and a professor in the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences. As a vice provost in OAA she directs leadership training and development of associate/assistant deans, department chairs and program directors; facilitates communication among faculty, union representatives and administrators; coordinates the development of departmental governance and oversees General Education including Honors College and University Studies, and Academic and Employee Labor Relations.
