Andryce Andres is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences at Portland State University (PSU), as well as a Speech-Language Pathologist at Shriners Children's in Portland, Oregon. She received her Bachelors of Arts in Ethnic Studies and Spanish from the University of Oregon in 2004. She spent several years working in women’s health clinics, volunteering for school garden programs, and developing Spanish language skills while living and traveling abroad before encountering the world of speech-language pathology. Andryce completed a master’s degree as well as Bilingual Concentration requirements through the Speech and Hearing Program at Portland State University in 2013. She received interdisciplinary training as a clinical fellow through the Oregon Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) program at the Institute on Development and Disability (IDD). Andryce has over eight years of experience as a speech-language pathologist, primarily in the clinical outpatient setting. Her professional knowledge and skills target assistive technology (AT), including augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), for children and young adults. Andryce is an advocate of individuals with complex communication needs. She is passionate in serving culturally and linguistically diverse children and their families. Andryce also enjoys being outdoors in nature with loved ones and learning new crafts.
