About Orientation Leaders

Orientation Leaders are highly motivated PSU students who develop an extensive knowledge about PSU services and academic requirements to assist incoming students during New Student Orientation sessions to assist with their transition to the Portland State community. Orientation Leaders provide a unique and important student perspective into the student experience at Portland State University.

The selection process

In order to be selected to be an Orientation Leader, you MUST complete each of the following:

1) Submit a completed application.
2) Participate in the Group Interview.
3) Participate in an Individual interview.

If selected, prospective Orientation Leaders must take a 4-credit training class during spring term, and then would begin work in July. The complete list of training and work commitments as well as a detailed position description included in the application.
