International Students

Many of you may be leaving home for the first time to study in the U.S. or are transferring from another U.S. university. International Student Orientation is designed to assist you through the adjustment to PSU and Portland, Oregon.

New international students, including those transferring from another U.S. educational institution, must attend the following:

All International Students:
(this includes Graduate, Undergraduate, Intensive English Language Program participants, and exchange students
All international students are required to attend an International Orientation program held just prior to the start of each term.

 Undergraduate International Students:
(this includes all students who are working toward their first Bachelor's degree and are not restricted to English language classes)
If you are an international student who is not currently studying in the United States, and are not able to attend an Advising and Registration session prior to International Orientation, please be sure to call or email us as soon as possible at 503-725-5555  or orientation@pdx.edu to learn of your course registration options. All international students, whether you currently reside in the United States or not, must attend the International Orientation session that is offered just prior to the start of each term and is coordinated in collaboration with the International Student and Scholar Services Office.
