PSU Welcomes Fulbright Students From 46 Countries

During the weeks of Aug. 20-24 and Aug. 27-31, the PSU International Special Programs Office will be welcoming 102 international Fulbright scholars/fellows to the Portland State campus. Representing 46 different countries, the students will participate in a "Fulbright Gateway Orientation," before they head off to their respective destinations and schools around the United States.

Portland State is one of only four select U.S. sites, and the only west coast site, that hosts this 4-day event.

The demographic of the participants attending the "Fulbright Gateway Orientation" includes:
Aug. 20-24: participants from 26 countries
Aug. 27-31: participants from 34 countries

Following the orientation on "Life and Academic Studies in the US," the participants will go on to pursue masters and Ph.D. degrees, and personal research projects at universities throughout the United States, including Harvard, Stanford, UCLA, University of Chicago and many more.
