PSU students get free art museum memberships

PORTLAND -- The donation of a 1,000 free memberships by the Portland Art Museum to Portland State students proved so popular it crashed the museum's website.
News of the offer went to PSU students Tuesday morning and the free memberships were gone in an hour.
“Obviously there was a pent up demand,” said PSU president Wim Wievel.
For three years, the museum has offered a discount program to any college student, $10 for an annual pass.
