The Oregonian: Debra Gwartney leaves Portland State after fall term

Debra Gwartney, an assistant professor of English at Portland State University, will leave her teaching job after fall term. Gwartney, whose memoir "Live Through This" was a finalist for a National Book Critics Circle Award, plans to devote all her time to writing. She is the co-editor of "Home Ground: Language for an American Landscape" and is working on a new book. She has been at PSU since 2004.
