Pat Boas, Art faculty, is among a small group of Oregon mid-career artists who have been selected by the Ford Family Foundation and University of Oregon School of Architecture and Allied Arts for a studio visit with George Baker, art critic, curator, art historian and professor of art history at University of California Los Angeles. The visit is part of Connective Conversations: Inside Oregon Art, 2011-2012. The invitations were made following extensive consultation with curators, critics, and museum professionals in Oregon. Connective Conversations is the first installment of the Ford Family Foundation’s Visual Arts Program’s Curator and Critic Tours and Lectures series. An important goal of the program is to create opportunities for national and international conversations between artists, curators, and writers whose work is committed to advancing visual inquiry and contemporary practice.
