Piano Club

The PSU Piano Club is a group of students dedicated to piano performance and maintaining the PSU pianos. The mission of the Portland State Piano Club is the following: Portland State Piano Club Mission: 


~To participate in community outreach through music

~To provide more performance opportunities for piano students

~To develop a united network of pianists at PSU

~To provide a receptive outlet for new piano compositions

~To bridge the gap between genres of pianism

~To promote an ongoing dialogue on piano pedagogy

~To make classical music more accessible to our community


Members include Paige Whaley, Saelin Ho, Grace Shimer, Mahroo Hamedani and Jennifer Cho.


SOAP

Student Opera at PSU is a student run club that provides extra curricular support and training to student singers. It also is working to raise awareness of opera in the PSU and greater Portland communities. SOAP has a proud tradition of providing free opera tickets, master classes, workshops and performance opportunites for PSU students. It welcomes involvement by all students, seeking a high level of craft and excellence in its projects, but working to maintain a supportive comminity that has fun. SOAP empowers students to organize their own projects beyond those available through the PSU departmental programs. For more information, write soap@pdx.edu.


MENC Chapter

The MENC chapter at PSU gives students who are pursuing a career in education a chance to network with other students and professionals and hone their teaching skills. For more information go to MENC Chapter


Instrumental Music Club
