Clarinet Studies

At Portland State, students can study the clarinet as their principle subject within the framework of several different programs.

The Coordinate Movement Program is designed to give pianists a better understanding of the physical processes involved in playing and how to use this knowledge to their advantage.

Summer Choral Conducting Workshop
Enjoy a week at the beach with other choral enthusiasts and learn to communicate sensitive musical ideas through visual, tactile, auditory means. Rodney Eichenberger's enthusiasm takes the exploration of choral conducting technique and performance artistry in exciting new directions. Lectures, rehearsals, master class conducting, and movement activities assist in the development of musicianship and vocal skills.

The Opera Program offers training and invaluable performing experience to the singer-actor through the Opera Production and Opera Workshop.
