PSU
Requirements for Credit Transfer
|
In order to transfer credit from courses taken outside of PSU, the
student must complete a transfer credit evaluation form from the PSU Office of the Registrar.
- PSU
will only award transfer credit for a course if that course has not
already been counted as meeting requirements towards a previously
awarded degree. For more detailed information about PSU credit transfer
and degree requirements, please see Admissions and
Registration
- Transferred credits recorded by the Office of the Registrar will
appear on the student's transcript. The transferred credits will be
listed along with the names and numbers of corresponding PSU courses.

Dept. of Applied Linguistics
Requirements for Credit Transfer
|
Please
note that even if the Office of the Registrar has marked the transfer
credit as "corresponding to" a particular class listed in the Applied
Linguistics Course Bulletin, no transfer credit can be granted toward
an Applied Linguistics degree until an Applied Linguistics faculty adviser has approved the specific transfer course content .
- The
Applied Linguistics adviser will evaluate the course description for
each proposed transfer-credit course (or combination of courses).
- The
Applied Linguistics adviser will determine whether an Applied
Linguistics degree program required course can be replaced with the
transfer credit course.
- If PSU-accepted transfer credit is determined to not satisfy the course content requirements established by the
Department of Applied Linguistics, the
student will be obliged to complete the required course.
- However, any transferred credit which is listed on the student's PSU
transcript does automatically count towards PSU institutional graduation requirements.
- The student is responsible for providing the adviser with the documentation necessary to do this evaluation (university course catalog, official website addresses, etc.)
- It
is also the student's responsibility to ensure that any approved
transfer credit is confirmed as officially received by the Office of
Degree Requirements
