M.A. TESOL - Prerequisites and Preparatory Courses
Some students may be required by the terms of their admission or by their adviser to take more than the minimum 46 credits of course work for their degree.
- If one has not completed the recommended prerequisite, and there is a question as to whether one has enough background to do well in the course, it is strongly recommended to contact the course instructor for advice.
Please note that several of the absolute prerequisites and very strongly recommended preparatory courses are NOT listed as required courses for the MATESOL degree.
- Therefore, in planning your program, in consultation with your advisor, please consider your level of preparation for the MATESOL required courses.
In order to succeed in certain of the most demanding required courses, with a grade of B or higher, it may be necessary to add some prerequisite classes to your MATESOL course program.
