HOW TO REGISTER FOR SUMMER JUDAIC STUDIES COURSES

Note: There is now a one-time $25 administrative charge for non-enrolled students to register for summer courses.  We regret the inconvenience.

Questions or comments may be directed to the Summer Session Office at 503-725-3276 or summer@pdx.edu.

When can I register?

Registration opens on Monday, May 3.

How do I find out about class times, descriptions, and costs?

You can review times, costs, and descriptions of summer Judaic Studies courses using the drop-down menus here.

I don’t need college credits.  Can I audit courses?

Our summer courses are self-supporting—we depend on student fees to pay for them—so we ask auditors to enroll in the 099 section of the courses they are interested in.  This is the non-credit section, and costs considerably less than the credit fee.

How do I register?

If you already have a PSU ID number and password, you can follow the instructions here to register for courses online.

If you are a non-degree student—i.e., you are registering for the first time to take summer courses with us but are not a regular PSU student—please create a first-time non-degree user account here.  You will be asked to enter personal information (address, social security number, etc.), and then to pay the one-time $25 administrative fee by credit card.  Following this, you will be given a PSU ID number and can register for courses online following the instructions here.  In some cases you may be notified of a delay of up to two business days before you are issued the PSU ID via e-mail.

Can I register in person instead of online?

Yes.  If you are a non-degree student (see above), then download and print a paper copy of the Non-Degree Entry Form, and mail or drop it off with payment to the Office of Admissions, Registration, and Records in Neuberger Hall (Broadway & Harrison) during business hours.  As soon as the form is processed (usually within 24 hours of submission), the information you need to register for classes will be sent via e-mail.  At that point you can either register for the classes online or download, print and fill out a special registration form and bring it to class the first day for the instructor to sign and turn in.  If you already have a PSU ID, then just download, print and fill out a special registration form and bring it to class the first day for the instructor to sign and turn in.
