Living in the Middle of It All

Live on campus, and you literally live in the center of one of America's most lively cities. Musuems, cafe, record stores, parks, gardens, the public library, you name it, it's probably just a short walk from your front door.

At Portland State University, you can choose from a wide range of convenient and affordable options for living on campus. You can live on your own or with roommates, in a studio, a one- or two-bedroom apartment, or a traditional residence hall room. You have access to a group of 12 building located on campus, and seven buildings located nearby. Styles range from the classic, 1930s architecture of the Blackstone to the sleek, contemporary Broadway, complete with a 24-hour computer lab. All facilities are within a five-minute walk to class, and some offer spectacular views of Mt. Hood.

You may also choose to live in one of several exciting living-learning communities. First Year Experience is a residence program designed to help new students be successful in the their first year of college, and the Global Village offers both international and domestic students a place to explore other cultures and practice new languages in a supportive environment.
