The Global Village Community
Global Village is…
A community to provide residents living in Global Village with opportunities to live and student in an international community with students from diverse backgrounds by promoting cross-cultural dialogue. Students participating in Global Village will be living on the 9th floor of the Ondine building.
Community Perspective…
The community would be a place where the diverse populations of undergraduate students connect with each other, with the University and with others in the community.
The residents living in Global Village will build connection to the purpose of GV and the larger PSU community, explore their world view by understanding and integrating others views, and developing an awareness, understanding and experience within a global perspective.
Global Village Commitment…
- Have a passion for or interest in student/communities of diverse cultures, ethnic backgrounds and global perspectives.
- Developing and participating in educational and social opportunities for the multicultural community and others interested in multiculturalism and a global perspective.
- Design and form study groups and informal conversations.
- Want to enhance intercultural experiences.
- Preferences would be given to students who want to have an international/domestic roommate pending the student’s background.
