Heidi Busche is a third-year student in the Public Affairs and Policy Ph.D. program in the School of Government. She earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh and an M.S. in Political Science from Portland State University. She also attended the summer program for quantitative methods at the University of Michigan, where she earned certifications in regression analysis, maximum likelihood estimation, and multidimensional scaling. Ms. Busche's research interests include gender and politics, electoral politics of Western Europe, and quantitative research methods. Her dissertation examines the implications of federalism and devolution for the descriptive and substantive representation of women in legislatures in the UK and in Germany.
