  1. Jola Ajibade, Geography faculty, was interviewed by the University of Colorado Global Climate Summit for the article, “Technology May Prevent the Worst Climate Scenarios, But How do We Adapt Now?”.
  2. Alida Cantor, Geology faculty, discussed her research on the water-energy nexus in an episode of the PDXPLORES podcast.
  3. Cynthia Carmina Gomez, Director of Community & Civic Impact in University Relations, provided remarks at the Multnomah County Board of Commissioners Sept. 15 meeting before the board approved a Hispanic Heritage Month Proclamation.
  4. Brian K. McCarthy, Business faculty, received the Faculty Excellence Award in June from graduating students in the University of Colorado-Denver Executive Master of Business Administration Program after teaching marketing strategy there during his sabbatical.
  5. Jack Straton, Physics and University Studies faculty, had one of his photographs chosen to be part of the Marin Society of Artists’ Exposed 2022, an international joint  show of photography, from March 15 through May 14.
