Required Seminars for PhD Students

The PhD requirements include two Speakers Series Seminars, two Research Group Seminars, and two Journal Club Seminars.

 Definitions:

  • The speakers series seminars are the broad topical seminars that rotate between departments.
  • The research group seminars are organized by the listed research groups.
  • Journal clubs can be offered by any of the three departments and would require you to read and lead a discussion on recent journal articles.
Below is a list of seminars that meet each of these requirements.  If you have any that you'd like to add, please email the specifics to environ@pdx.edu.
