Great teachers start at PSU. The master’s degree in education prepares you to be a part of a new wave of progressive K-12 teachers. The College of Education will equip you to teach in an inclusive and equitable environment, utilizing the latest technology to help you succeed.

66 credits flexible hybrid format

There is a shortage of bilingual teachers in elementary schools across much of the United States. The Bilingual Teacher Pathway (BTP) program works to fill this critical need. The BTP program recruits and prepares bilingual and bicultural individuals to become licensed teachers.

72 credits on campus

Prepare to serve young children (ages 0 to 5) with disabilities or other special needs. Help build a solid foundation for primary, secondary, and university education as you earn an initial teaching license, add an endorsement to an existing license, or obtain a master’s degree.

64 credits fully online

Prepare to enter a graduate teacher education program and be licensed in Elementary Multiple Subjects. This minor meets all the prerequisites for admission to PSU's Graduate Teacher Education Program (GTEP).

54 credits flexible hybrid format

Prepare to teach elementary school with a background in the sciences. The minor in elementary education science prepares you to enter a graduate teacher education program and be licensed in Elementary Multiple Subjects.

37-38 credits flexible hybrid format

Twenty-first-century schools are made up of diverse and inclusive classrooms. Learn how to promote equity in education and social justice in the classroom. If you desire to work with children in schools, the Inclusive Elementary Educator Program (IEEP) master’s degree and licensure is designed for you.

88-100 credits on campus

If you earned your teaching credential outside of the United States, ITEP provides you with a shortened and customized path to earn your Oregon teaching license. Your coursework will be focused on classes particular to working with children in American public schools.

23-66 credits flexible hybrid format

Our Secondary Dual Educator Program (SDEP) master’s degree with dual licensure program provides a solid foundation in inclusive education. Create and integrate educational equity, social justice, and sense of belonging into your school communities.

Are you an aspiring high school teacher? The Secondary Education minor prepares you to enter a graduate teacher education program and be licensed in Secondary Education.

25-28 credits flexible hybrid format

The Special Education undergraduate degree prepares you to teach students across a wide range of ages, including students age 3 through 21 and those who have more significant disabilities requiring extensive supports.
