The following scholarships opportunities are available mid-year 2007-8. The application deadline for these scholarships is January 11, 2008. Select the link for the scholarhip you are interested in below to download an application. You will also need to download the Confidential Financial Report form and include it with either or both applications (you only need to complete it once). 2007-8 Teaching for Diversity Scholarship: The intent of Teach for Diversity Scholarships is to increase the diversity of the K-12 teacher and counselor workforce by supporting students working toward initial licensure who bring diverse experiences and are committed to teaching/counseling in diverse settings.
Funds for these scholarships are made possible through a state allocation. Availability of scholarships is determined year to year. Scholarships for 2007-08 may range from $1000-$4000 (applies toward tuition only), with monies payable over winter, spring, and/or spring terms. Number of awards: approximately 8-20. Awards will be made within a few weeks of the application deadline.
To be considered you must be admitted to a program within the Graduate School of Education and must meet eligibility requirements outlined below. Application deadline: Friday, January 11, 2008. Applicants will be considered ONLY if application is complete, accurate, and submitted by the deadline. Items # 2,3,4,6 below can be submitted once for multiple applications.
2007-8 Mid-Year application for three scholarships: - Drew (GTEP, BTP, IE2P, SDEP only), strong experience in community service
- York (early childhood education focus and graduate of PSU Child & Family Studies Program)
- Graduate School of Education, (enrolled in any GSE program)
