2011-2012 Teaching for Diversity Scholarship
The intent of Teach for Diversity Scholarships is to increase the diversity of the K-12 teacher and counselor workforce by supporting students working toward initial licensure who bring diverse experiences and are committed to teaching/counseling in diverse settings.
Funds for these scholarships are made possible through a state allocation. Availability of scholarships is determined year to year. Scholarships for 2011 may range from $1,000-$3,000 (applies toward tuition only), with monies payable over winter, spring, and/or summer terms. Number of awards: approximately 10 to 20. Awards will be made in January.
To be considered you must be admitted to a program within the Graduate School of Education and must meet eligibility requirements outlined on the application form. Applicants will be considered ONLY if application is complete, accurate, and submitted by the deadline.
