Welcome to Portland State University! College is an incredible time of growth, development, and exploration, and we are delighted that you have chosen PSU as your anchor for this amazing journey. We hope you will thrive as a member of our community.

PSU is committed to the success of all students and we encourage you to access all the incredible resources available to support your success, including our Mentoring Program. Transitions can be challenging for everyone, but they can be less challenging with support.

Our Mentoring Program matches students with a faculty or staff mentor committed to nurturing student success. Your mentor will be a partner that helps you navigate your first year at PSU. Students in the Mentoring Program are also part of a larger community of students that support and learn from each other through periodic gatherings, socials, and events. To encourage engagement and exposure to all of the great programs, events, and resources available, the program uses a point-based system, where you will earn points for engaging in activities that help you stay on track towards your success goals and maximize your college experience. These points can be redeemed for a variety of cool experiences and rewards.

We hope you will take full advantage of this opportunity and all the other resources and support services on campus. Allow us to be a resource for you. Whatever your journey to this point in your life, know there is a place for you here!
