Ooligan Press holds open house
Ooligan Press, the book publishing program on campus, has 12 books in its catalog and another six coming out this year. Find out what they look for in a manuscript from authors or community organizations at an open house Wednesday, Nov. 7, from noon to 6 p.m. at the Native American Community Center.
The open house will feature authors, teachers, as well as current and former students. In addition to visual displays, presentations will be given on book design, children's books, marketing a book, and how to work with editors. Books of the press will be on sale.

U.S. Geological Survey Water Science Center now on campus
The U.S. Geological Survey Oregon Water Science Center (USGS) has moved to the Portland State campus and developed a joint agreement with the University for collaborative research, education and outreach. The center, which was located in east Portland for the past 18 years, is now located in the Fifth Avenue Business Center, 2130 SW Fifth. read more >
New Business and Sustainability Center launched
The School of Business Administration kicks off its new Center for Design and Innovation for Business and Sustainability with an international conference this week in Portland. Traveling Japanese Theatre Exhibit comes to campus
"The Theatre Prints of Tsukioka Kogyo," an exhibit of Kogyo's woodblock prints of traditional Japanese Noh theater are on display through Nov. 28 in the Littman Gallery, 250 Smith Union. An opening night lecture on the early 20th century artist is planned Nov. 1 at 5 p.m. in 296 Smith Union. Another lecture and moderated tours of the exhibit are planned. read more >
